This beautiful house is located in the Historic Center of Merida, Yucatan, has its origins in the early twentieth century. It has characteristics of the French architecture, that are conserved entirely in the first two lines of the property. The conceptual project consisted in exhibiting the old part of the property as the social area and the open area as an integrating space between this and the private nucleus. The project was visualized as a house that developed towards the exterior, enjoying the created visuals, as well as the lighting and natural ventilation. In the renovation, a marked contrast was created between the afrancesada architecture of the original house with the contemporary one of the new construction, as well as the use of current materials such as steel and concrete.
